Our Top Three Movies To Watch Right Now: Beetlejuice, Alien, and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
Beetlejuice (1988) – Our Top Mvie To watch
This is one of the movies to watch to prepare for Halloween. It’s quirky, it’s hilarious, and it has that perfect Tim Burton weirdness that only gets better every time. Plus, with the highly-anticipated sequel in cinemas now, you’ll want to refresh your memory on everyone’s favorite ghost with the most before diving into Beetlejuice 2. Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice is unhinged in the best way possible, and let’s not forget Winona Ryder as the original goth queen.
If you’re in the mood for something spooky but not too scary, this is your go-to movie to watch. I mean, what’s more Halloween than ghosts, creepy houses, and a little sprinkle of chaos?
Alien (1979)
If you’re craving something a bit more terrifying, Alien is the ultimate movie to watch horror. Ridley Scott’s sci-fi horror masterpiece still sends chills down spines, even after all these years. The claustrophobic spaceship, that iconic alien design, and Sigourney Weaver as Ripley — what’s not to love? Plus, there’s a sequel in the works (yes, again!), so it’s the perfect time to revisit this classic and gear up for more space terror.
Need a movie to watch on Netflix? While Alien may not always be streaming, it’s worth hunting down for a movie night that’s equal parts edge-of-your-seat suspense and “oh my god, did that just happen?!” horror.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024)
Alright, let’s move away from ghosts and aliens for a second. If you’re in the mood for an epic sci-fi adventure, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is the movie to watch 2024. This new installment is set to bring more jaw-dropping visual effects, a compelling story about humanity’s fall, and of course, some very smart (and sometimes scary) apes.
You don’t have to watch the previous movies, but if you’ve got time, binge-watching the Planet of the Apes reboot series will definitely enhance the experience. Talking apes plotting the downfall of humans? Yeah, you’re in for a ride.
