ICan’tChoose is a website that’s been created by two lifelong friends who have a passion for films but a hatred of finding one to watch. The idea came about after we were thinking of ways to improve our experience of choosing a film to watch, especially as our time is more limited now that we both soon will be parents to young children. What started as a simple idea grew in complexity and we realised that maybe some other people out there might just be interested and looking for straight forward film recommendations too.

Do you long for the days when all you could watch was whatever was on TV that night? It’s strange, but sometimes having too much choice can be a bad thing. Especially when it’s hard to find exactly what you want. That’s why we created ICan’tChoose, a website that recommends films to you one at a time, instead of endless choices.

With icantchoose.com, we’re trying to bring back that simplicity. We’ve built a movie recommendation tool where people can just throw in a few preferences—genre, movie length, age rating, and streaming service—and we suggest one perfect movie, just one, to take away the decision paralysis we all face. What makes us different? Every movie we recommend, we’ve watched ourselves and genuinely think others should as well.  And we get it, trusting two strangers on the internet with your movie night is a big deal! That’s why we also show IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes scores, the trailer, and a few similar movies to help build confidence in our picks.
